Spot dolphins and whales in the Hauraki Gulf

Jump on board a marine research vessel at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour and get ready to spot wildlife in the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park. The Hauraki Gulf is made up for more than 50 islands, dotted amongst sparkling blue waters. A true New Zealand paradise and home to the iconic landmark of Auckland - Rangitoto Island.

Grab your binoculars and keep a lookout for Bryde’s whales, Australasian gannets, Bottlenose dolphins and orcas. Over 25 of the 37 Southern Hemisphere’s marine mammals have been seen in the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park.

A family-run business, which privately funds and supports marine wildlife studies through universities, trusts and government departments. You will be sailing on a purpose-built 65ft Powercat with qualified researchers, who conduct biological studies during the trip and love to share their knowledge.

By joining this eco-cruise, you are directly contributing to the global efforts of protecting the planet’s marine environment while witnessing magnificent marine wildlife and learning from the experts.
