Sustainability in action

When is the best travel time?

New Zealand has a far warmer climate than Northern Europe. The sun's rays feel hot even in the winter. That means you can travel all year round. During the shoulder seasons, spring and autumn, the temperatures are ideal for enjoying the outdoors.

How long do I need in New Zealand?

You could spend months travelling the ever-changing landscape of New Zealand. To really experience what the country has to offer, we advise you to travel at a relaxed pace, and then for at least three weeks. Or visit a few places in-depth if you have slightly less time and come back again one day.

How do I travel around?

It's useful if you can drive yourself as this enables you to get to the many places that group trips and public transport don't reach. And, the good news is, you drive on the left, just like at home, and the road rules are pretty much the same. The traffic is far lighter aside from the cities. New Zealand roads are safe and the views from your car are often magnificent. Relax and enjoy, as we keep driving distances short with time to stop, time to take a turn off, and time to dilly dally.
