Noosa National Park

Featuring spectacular coastal views over the Pacific Ocean, unique Australian wildlife, beautiful walks, high dunes, and much more. Noosa National Park is extra special because it is within an easy 30-minute walking distance of Hastings Street in the centre of Noosa. Covering approximately 3000 hectares which includes the areas surrounding Lake Weyba, Emu Mountain, Peregian Beach and Coolum.

There are an array of fantastic walks to conquer including the Noosa Hill Walk, and the Coastal Walk. Be sure to visit Tree Tea Bay, one of Noosa's most picture-postcard perfect beaches. Noosa is the perfect destination for a family-friendly holiday. There is plenty to do and see to keep the kids entertained. The iconic Australia Zoo is located approximately one hour away from Noosa and is one of Queensland's biggest tourist attractions. Noosa Everglades

A must-do during your time in this part of Queensland is the Noosa Everglades, also known as the River of Mirrors. A world of wonder, the Everglades are one of the only two everglade systems on earth. Nestled within the Cooloola region of the Great Sandy National Park, here you can discover a 60-kilometre network of spectacular waterways and wetlands.

A unique environment that is mostly untouched

One of Australia's most diverse ecosystems, approximately 65% of the Noosa Everglades catchment is part of a national park. It's also the only everglades system in the world in which you can safely swim! Explore this magical place together with a Noosa travel guide or by yourself. Noosaville is renowned for its laid-back vibes, perfect picnic spots, restaurants, boutique stores, and the Noosa River winding through the middle. Noosaville is located just three kilometres from Noosa and offers a relaxed riverside atmosphere. Gympie Terrace is one of the main streets and has a great assortment of local restaurants, coffee shops and brunch cafes.

Sunshine Coast

Nearby Noosa, discover a 60 kilometre stretch of stunning coastline known as the Sunshine Coast. Renowned for its laid-back vibes and friendly locals, this region boasts many beaches which are ideal for surfers. Featuring a sub-tropical climate, the Sunshine Coast is the perfect holiday destination to soak up the sunshine, beachside.

The beach as your backyard

Enjoy fish & chips by the beach, go shopping or visit Kondalilla National Park. As you drive along the highway, watch out for the famous Big Pineapple. Built-in 1971, it is one of Queensland's heritage-listed icons. Take a stroll along the Mooloolaba Spit Boardwalk and be sure to stop for a coffee along the way. Or visit the Twilight Market Caloundra, the perfect Friday night outing.

Surrounding areas

There are plenty of wonderful places to visit around Noosa. If you head a little inland, the Sunshine Coast Hinterland is filled with cute little towns such as Montville and Maleny. The Hinterland feels like another world but is only a 30-minutes drive from the beach!

Approximately one hour north of Noosa is Rainbow Beach, a truly special place that can be reached by 4WD along the Great Beach Drive. Rainbow Beach gives you access to the World Heritage-listed wonderland of Fraser Island. Or take a scenic drive and day trip to Caloundra.
