Spend a day diving at Flinders Reef together with a local company. The reef is located north of Moreton Island. It is part of the Moreton Bay Marine Park, making it a fully protected marine reserve. The reef is named after Matthew Flinders, the first explorer to sail around Australia.
- Flinders Reef is a protected marine sanctuary
- Dive up to 8-20 metres deep at one of Queensland best dive sites
- The tour has a total duration of approximately 7 hours
- Discover an abundance of marine life
Flinders Reef has many caves and corals that you can explore. There are also many tropical fish (more than 200 different species) such as the yellow clownfish and the pufferfish. There is also a good chance that you will encounter turtles.
The turtles like to come to this area because it’s a turtle cleaning station, making it very likely that you will see green, hawksbill, and loggerhead turtles. It takes approximately one hour to reach Flinders Reef. Diving is usually done at two different locations. In between the dive sites, lunch will be served. Each diver can dive twice, with or without a guide.
