Tasmania's western coast is one of the most remote and arguably one of the most beautiful places in the world. The West Coast is invariably different from the east coast, the nature is distinctly rugged, and the rainforest is untouched. The area has several small towns where you can still find fragments of the gold rush.Useful facts

Museums
Australia has many fascinating museums to visit. These can be especially found in Melbourne and Sydney. Melbourne has been called the 'cultural capital' of Australia. A very special museum is the Telegraph Station, just outside Alice Springs, a historic telegraph station on the Overland Telegraph Line, which served to relay messages between Adelaide and Darwin. It still looks exactly like it used to and is really a chunk of nostalgia.Summer and spring in Australia
Summer in Australia is from December to February. It is a busy period with six weeks of school holidays. If you would like to travel during this period, we would recommend missing the northern parts of Australia. It is ‘wet season’, with loads of rain and the humidity is unpleasant. However, the southern parts of the country are warm and waiting to be discovered.Spring in Australia is from September to November. Sunny warm days and crisp evenings, it is an ideal time to visit Australia. A shoulder season, it is generally cheaper than during summer months and less crowded. Which is why we highly recommend travelling during this period.
If you would like to visit the Northern Territory and Tropical North Queensland, early spring is the best time. November is the start of the ‘wet season’. Down south in Tasmania, it is still warming up after the cold winter months. With an average temperature of 8 - 17 degrees celsius.
